Full Video: 30 Days and Nights Setting Legal Fishing Gear for Giant River Fish to Sell – Cooking With My Young Son

For 30 days and 30 nights, we embark on an unforgettable river adventure, spending our days and nights fishing for large river fish that can legally be kept and sold. Along the way, the journey becomes much more than fishing—it becomes a special father-and-son experience filled with hard work, nature, cooking, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Days 1–5: The Adventure Begins

Before sunrise, we pack our fishing equipment, food, drinking water, lights, storage containers, and camping supplies. We carefully choose a safe location and make sure all fishing methods follow local regulations.

My young son is excited to come along. He watches closely as we prepare everything and asks questions about the river, the fish, and how fishing works.

As evening arrives, the river becomes calm. We set up our permitted fishing gear and wait patiently.

The first night is quiet.

The lines barely move.

But we know fishing requires patience.

Days 6–10: Our First Big Surprise

Several mornings pass before something finally happens.

Just before sunrise, one of the fishing lines suddenly moves.

I quickly check the equipment while my son watches with excitement.

Something powerful is moving beneath the water.

After a careful struggle, a large river fish appears near the surface.

My son's face lights up.

We safely bring the fish to shore, check that it meets the legal requirements, and store it properly.

For him, it is the biggest fish he has ever seen.

Days 11–15: Life Beside the River

The days begin to develop a peaceful rhythm.

Morning fishing.

Afternoon preparation.

Evening cooking.

Nighttime waiting.

My son helps with simple, age-appropriate tasks such as washing vegetables, preparing ingredients, organizing supplies, and keeping the campsite tidy.

He learns that fishing isn't simply about catching fish.

It requires patience, responsibility, teamwork, and respect for nature.

Days 16–20: Another Powerful Catch

One evening, just as the sun disappears, a fishing line suddenly pulls tight.

The rod bends sharply.

My son hears the splash and runs over excitedly—but stays at a safe distance while I handle the equipment.

The fish fights hard beneath the dark water.

After several tense moments, we finally bring a large fish close enough to safely identify and land.

We celebrate together.

The fish is handled according to local regulations and prepared properly for storage and sale.

My son can't stop talking about the catch.

Days 21–25: Cooking Together

After weeks beside the river, cooking becomes one of our favorite parts of the adventure.

My son loves helping in the kitchen.

We prepare vegetables, herbs, rice, and simple seasonings.

Together, we prepare a family meal using fresh ingredients.

He carefully watches as the food cooks, learning how ingredients change from raw to delicious meals.

The kitchen fills with wonderful aromas.

We sit together and enjoy the meal, talking about everything that happened during the fishing trip.

Days 26–29: The Final Fishing Days

The last few days arrive quickly.

We continue checking our fishing equipment responsibly and keep only the amount permitted by local regulations.

Some days bring good catches.

Other days bring nothing.

But my son has learned an important lesson: success isn't guaranteed, and that's what makes fishing an adventure.

Every sunrise is another opportunity.

Every splash creates excitement.

Every quiet night becomes another memory.

Day 30: The Final Catch

On the final morning, we make one last trip along the river.

The sky is bright orange as the sun rises above the trees.

We carefully check our equipment.

Then we notice movement.

A final fish has taken the bait.

My son watches excitedly as we carefully bring it toward the riverbank.

After confirming that it can legally be kept, we safely handle the catch and prepare to return home.

Thirty days have passed.

The adventure is finally coming to an end.

Cooking With My Young Son

Back home, my son is ready to help prepare lunch.

We wash the ingredients and organize everything on the kitchen table.

He helps with simple tasks that are safe for his age while I handle the knives, hot pans, and cooking equipment.

We prepare a delicious family meal with vegetables, rice, herbs, and freshly prepared fish.

The pan begins to sizzle.

The smell fills the kitchen.

My son smiles and proudly says that this is the best part of the whole adventure.

We sit together at the table and enjoy our meal.

After 30 days of fishing, this simple moment feels incredibly special.

A Father-and-Son Adventure to Remember

This journey wasn't only about catching giant fish.

It was about spending time together.

It was about teaching my son patience, responsibility, cooking, teamwork, and respect for nature.

We experienced quiet nights beneath the stars, exciting moments beside the river, unexpected weather, big catches, empty fishing days, and countless family meals.

The fish we legally caught and sold were only part of the story.

The real reward was the memories we created together.

As we clean the last piece of fishing equipment and look back toward the river, my son asks one question:

“When are we going fishing again?”

I smile.

Because every great adventure eventually ends—but another one is already waiting.
